Registration for Dragon Tails 2013 is now open.
Registration fees
Early bird – Full registration (without dinner) – up to Fri 14 June 2013: A$160
Early bird – Student registration (without dinner) – up to Fri 14 June 2013: A$140
Full registration (without dinner) – after Fri 14 June 2013: A$240
Student registration (without dinner) – after Fri 14 June 2013: A$180
Registration includes:
• all conference sessions, from Sat 6 July 2.45pm to Mon 8 July 4.30pm
• conference reception, Saturday 6.30-7.30pm
• morning & afternoon teas
• lunches on Sunday and Monday
• conference pack
There is no discount to the registration fees if you cannot attend a particular event.
Conference dinner
Conference dinner on Sunday 7 July, 7pm at Hanoi Wollongong Restaurant: A$50 per person.
Delegates may bring guests to the conference dinner for an additional charge of A$50 per person.
Pre-conference workshop: The heritage of Chinese temples in Australasia
Saturday 6 July, 10.30am to 1.45pm.
A series of presentations by historians, temple custodians and curators, followed by roundtable discussion.
Workshop fee: A$10.
Pre-conference master class: Writing Chinese diaspora histories
Saturday 6 July, 11am to 2pm.
Led by Dr Julia Martinez, this master class is for honours, masters and PhD students, where students can present and discuss their thesis work.
Master class fee: Free, but participation by prior arrangement with Dr Julia Martinez.
Postgraduate bursaries
We are pleased to be able to offer bursaries for speakers at the conference who are currently enrolled postgraduate students.
The bursary allows free registration for the conference.
However, those receiving the bursary will be required to pay the relevant additional fees for attending the conference dinner ($50) or the pre-conference workshop on The Heritage of Chinese Temples in Australasia ($10), should you wish to attend these events as well.
Accommodation

Conference publication donation
We would like to produce a book following the conference, further details of which will be distributed closer to the event. Any small contribution to assist with the book production and publication costs would be much appreciated.
Cancellation policy
All cancellations must be in writing to dragontailsconference2013@gmail.com. Delegates cancelling before 15 June 2013 will receive a full refund. Delegates cancelling from 15 June to 22 June 2013 will receive a 50% refund. There are no refunds after 22 June 2013.
